Happy First Anniversary - My Blog!

And Happy First Anniversary to you too, Korey and Shana!

Your May wedding at the "Jersey Shore" last year was so romantic, beautiful, and memorable. And it was the first wedding I reported on my wedding ceremony blog.

I hope you had a good year...getting your married life together off to a good start.

Ceremony Tip: Do something at your wedding ceremony that you will remember each year on your anniversary...like the unity ritual Korey and Shana did with sand from the beach. As a keepsake from the ceremony, they have a glass vase that contains the sand placed there by their wedding guests. When they look at this vase in their home, they will certainly remember all their family and friends who surrounded them on their wedding day.

Great Venue...Nicotra's Ballroom

For many reasons a couple may find that they are planning a formal wedding only weeks in advance. There is no better way to make the complicated arrangements for a major formal affair come together quickly than to work with an establishment that is skilled, efficient, flexible, and professional. That is the case with The Hilton Garden Inn/Nicotra's Ballroom on Staten Island. They are there to serve the couple...and that is what they did for Eric and Luz.

Luz and Eric were married in the beautiful room overlooking an "enchanted forest." As the wedding officiant, I began the ceremony by welcoming family and friends from all corners of the globe...from Venezuela, China, Israel, Arizona, and Florida...just to name a few places. The young ring-bearer from Peru did his job flawlessly...even though he didn't understand much of the ceremony in English. Bravo, Juan Antonio!

Ceremony Tip: When you have your wedding at a place like Nicotra's Ballroom, they take such a load off your shoulders as they manage the wedding day for you. They welcome and guide your guests, keep the schedule on time, line up your wedding party for the procession, give you some private space to catch your breath immediately after the ceremony, and coordinate your vendors so all works smoothly. Experienced wedding venue staff make it possible for you two to enjoy and savor your special day. They're so worth it!
